Okay on to better things. I made this new sign for Easter and I love the way it turned out. My only complaint is that the word Easter doesn't stand out as much as I would like it to, which I will fix with the next ones I make. Let me know what you guys think of it. As always it is available for sale at my esty shop.
I took an extra piece of wood I had left over from my wedding signs, sanded it and painted it a light blue. I cut the egg out of a yellow chevron patterned paper and attached to the front. Then I cut out the Easter letters using vinyl and painted them to the sign. I distressed the whole thing and then sealed. I love, love, love how it turned out.
Your sign is adorable. I'm visiting via Linky Followers Party Hop and am now following you.

Quick Question how did you distress this???? I really like the look of it
ReplyDeleteI use a antiquing medium made by folkart, it just wipes on with a clean cloth and then rub off super easy and I love the way it turns out. It looks like brown paint in the bottle but says antiquing medium on the front there is a # 819 on the bottle if that helps, its generally found in the craft paint section of most craft stores. Hope this helps, enjoy, it is a super fun product!!
DeleteTrying to figure out how you distressed/darkened the edge of the egg itself. Did you do that before attaching it to the wood? I like the depth it lends.
