Floor remodel

Crisis averted my camera was found, LOL!
So now on to more important things like projects. Me and my boyfriend bought our old farmhouse about 6 years ago and have yet to do anything to it expect carpet in 2 rooms and some painting (we did rip out a divider wall a couple years ago too). So anyway I decided it was time to pull up our nasty 70's brown shag carpet, it is disgusting and smells, unfortunately I didn't get a pic before I ripped out the main piece but here an idea in the back corner that I didn't rip up yet because of the step.

I know beautiful right, lol!
Okay so after ripping it up this is what we have underneath (keep in mind that I am still not sure what I was doing with the floor but just knew the carpet needed to go).
So all of the dots in the pic are from the dust from where I started to sand, and since I can't take the carpet out myself so it has been sitting there for 2 days waiting for boyfriend to help.

So this is what my floors look like, pretty crappy, so we will see what it looks like when it is finished. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated and I will post as we continue to do it.

Goal

So for some reason I decided to wake up at 4:00am today and couldn't go back to sleep, so my goal was to get up and get something new made for my blog, however, I spent about an hour looking for my camera so I could shoot in stages and still have yet to find it, so that made my new goal to finish up some orders and then clean my craft room, seriously it looks like a tornado ran straight through it. So after I finish working on orders and cleaning maybe there will be some time left to do another post (fingers crossed!!)

So instead you get a few pics from my stacked blocks. They are fun simple and can say just about anything.
Oh and big surprise they are available on my Etsy shop. I really am trying to get stuff on here that I don't sell but it's hard because every time I make something new I'm like, oh that would be great for the shop, ha ha.
Oh well, hopefully something new coming soon.
Have a great day!!!

Unmotivated :(

It's sad to say that I have nothing new to post this week. I have been completely unmotivated and short on thime this week so nothing new to share :( So to fill up some space and give you a little insight on my life I thought I would show you guys my favorite puppy in the world (okay so he's not really a puppy anymore but I call him that anyways) so meet Gally!

Gally is a 3 year old, 155 lbs. Great Dane and is the biggest baby in the world!! His favorite activities are laying on the couch, chasing cats, and picking up sticks in the yard. He likes to go on long walks but chews on anything you leave in sight when you leave him alone. I have went through 3 remotes to my dvr!! I love him but I now have to replace a couch, carpet, remotes, and many more things since he has blessed my life. Gotta love dogs!!

Easter Sign

Well I have been MIA for a of days due to my work schedule. I had to work 5 12hour shifts in a row and have done nothing but sleep and go to work. Sad part is none of it counts for overtime. I hate the way my work week falls :( To make matters worse I hurt my back lifting a patient last night and have to go back again tonight :(

Okay on to better things. I made this new sign for Easter and I love the way it turned out. My only complaint is that the word Easter doesn't stand out as much as I would like it to, which I will fix with the next ones I make. Let me know what you guys think of it. As always it is available for sale at my esty shop.

I took an extra piece of wood I had left over from my wedding signs, sanded it and painted it a light blue. I cut the egg out of a yellow chevron patterned paper and attached to the front. Then I cut out the Easter letters using vinyl and painted them to the sign. I distressed the whole thing and then sealed. I love, love, love how it turned out.

St. Patty's Day Sign

I love this sign for St. Patty's Day, it is simple and easy to make.

I took a 2x4 piece of wood cut it to approx 11", sanded and stained it an oak stain.
I taped of the edges and painted the middle dark green. Once dry I cut the shamrock paper
to fit and inked around the edges with Dark Soot distress ink.
I cut the work Lucky and the shamrock in black vinyl using transfer tape put it to the paper and
sealed the entire thing using gloss modge podge. I think the entire project took about a day and a half letting all the stuff dry.
It's so simple and cute, I love it.
If you don't feel like making your own, I have them for sale at My Etsy Shop Stop by and take a look around.
